Your child's development and education
An extensive range of toys, equipment and resources is available for every child in the nursery, enabling them to develop and progress within the Early Years Foundation Stage. All the classrooms offer self-selection toys and resources that are stored on low shelving so that children can independently access them. By allowing children to access the resources freely, they are able to initiate their own play as opposed to our staff telling them what to do and how to do it - this helps develop a child's exploratory sense and encourages them to make discoveries and develop new skills through their play on a daily basis.
The staff also plan activities with specific learning intentions based on daily observations they make of the children. Comprehensive assessments are carried out on every child at regular intervals and the results of these assessments allow us to plan appropriate activities for the individual to ensure that they receive tailor-made care.
