We offer a secure, safe environment when caring for your children
At Ipswich Private Kindergarten we have 24 hour CCTV covering all nursery entrances, exits and playgrounds and we have an internal telephone network throughout the nursery, ensuring easy communication between the various classrooms and office. Intercom systems are on each door leading into the nursery, with keypads for staff entrance only, thereby making sure that only persons authorised by members of staff can gain access. High handles on the doors are another safety feature of the nursery.
Collecting your child
If anyone other than the usual person is collecting your child, the appropriate form must be completed beforehand and identification (such as a driving license) and a password will be requested from the person collecting. If we are in any doubt we will not permit your child to leave until we are satisfied that it is safe to do so. It is IPK policy that no one under sixteen years of age (unless they are the child's parent), is permitted to collect a child.
Fire and emergency situations
If a fire or other such emergency occurs it is crucial that children react in a safe and orderly way, therefore children participate in regular fire drills and practices so that they will know what to do in an emergency.
